Dick Van Dyke Turns 100

Happy 100th birthday to Dick Van Dyke, who was born on December 13, 1925.

Dick Van Dyke has been a long-time family favorite since he first appeared in Mary Poppins (1964). He did have his long-running series, The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961-1966), before that, though. Since then, he has appeared in many movies and television series, including The New Dick Van Dyke Show (1971-1974) and Diagnosis Murder (1993-2001). His Disney credits include:

•Bert and Mr. Dawes Sr. in Mary Poppins (1964).

•Robinson Crusoe in Lt. Robin Crusoe USN (1966).

•Jack Albany in Never a Dull Moment (1968).

•Himself as the host of Donald Duck’s 50th Birthday (1984), a television special.

•Himself as the host of the Golden Anniversary of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1987), a television special.

•D.A. Fletcher in Dick Tracy (1990), a Touchstone Pictures production.

•Goofy’s Grandfather/Captain Goofbeard in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (2006-2016) (S4E13).

•Cecil in Night at the Museum (2006), a 20th Century Fox production.

•Cecil in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (2014), a 20th Century Fox production.
